Girls Gymnastics            Ages 6 -14

Classes are designed to teach the skills of the 4 women's gymnastics Olympic events: vault, bars, beam & floor.  

Co-Ed Tumbling            Ages 6 - 14

Classes are designed to teach the progression of tumbling skills with the aid of a trampoline Tumble Trak.  

Introduction to Gymnastics

No experience required. This is an introductory class to cover the basic gymnastics terminology, positions, safety, and skills. It is designed for all students, no matter what type of athletic ability, strength, and flexibility.


Bronze

Gymnast must be capable of performing step hurdle punch on vault, front support and cast preparation on bars, basic walks and releve on beam, the basic floor positions of tuck/pike/straddle, bridge and fwd roll.  Completion of Introduction to Gymnastics or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Silver

Gymnast must be capable of performing run step hurdle punch on vault, fwd roll/cast/pullover with a light spot on bars, releve hold/straight jump on beam, and wall handstand/cartwheel on floor.  Completion of Bronze or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Gold

Gymnast must be capable of performing a flatback on mat/run step hurdle punch to mat stack on vault, pullover/back hip circle with light spot/leg cut on bars, front support mount and lever on beam, and handstand/bwd roll/round off on the floor.  Completion of Silver or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Platinum

Gymnast must be capable of a handstand flat back and run step hurdle punch flat back to mat stack on vault, back hip circle/stride circle with light spot/glide swing with good form on bars, handstand/cartwheel side handstand on beam, and handstand bridge kickover/backhandspring w/light spot on floor.  Completion of Gold or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Diamond

Gymnast must be capable of step hurdle punch front handspring on the vault table w/spot, glide kip and squat on at bars, handstand/cartwheel on beam, roundoff back handspring/front handspring w/spot on floor.    Completion of Platinum or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Kinetic Kids - Special Needs Gymnastics

Age:  6 - 14 year olds.  No experience required. 


Aerial Silks                 Ages 6 - Adult


In this class students will learn the basic fundamentals of technique and vocabulary for aerial silks both on and off the ground.  Aerial is a great way to improve strength, stamina and flexibility.  It also helps to build better body awareness and control. 


Cheer Skills Clinic - Middle School/High School

Come learn to cheer or improve your skills with our highly experienced staff members in a fully equipped gym! No experience is required. Staff members will coach students on the basics of cheer motions, jumps, proper form, voice projection, tumbling and dance. Participants will also gain confidence, strength, and flexibility throughout our intensive program. Brush up on your skills or prepare yourself for your next season with our staff members all from either school or competitive dance/cheer backgrounds.


Beginning Tumbling

No experience required. This is an introductory class to cover the basic tumbling & trampoline terminology, positions, safety, and skills. Students will work on forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and bridges on floor.


Novice Tumbling

Tumbler must have mastered a forward roll, handstand, and cartwheel. In this class students will work on cartwheels, round offs, back walkovers, handstand skills, and dive rolls.  Completion of Beginning Tumbling or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Intermediate Tumbling

Tumbler must have mastered a round off and the choice of a: front walkover, back walkover, or front limber. In this class students will work on round offs, front limbers, back handsprings, and front handsprings. Completion of Novice Tumbling or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


Advanced Tumbling

Tumbler must have mastered a standing back handspring and round off backhandspring on the floor. In this class students will work forward and backward tumbling series and flips.  Completion of Intermediate Tumbling or a SGC Placement Evaluation is required.


BOYS ONLY Tumbling classes are also offered


Co-Ed Ninja                      Ages 3 - 14

No experience required. Classes are designed based on “that famous TV show" featuring a warped wall, ropes, high elements, low elements, trampolines, and much more to build strength and coordination in a safe environment for an exciting experience!  

Mini Ninjas

No experience required. This class is for 3-5 year olds to introduce the world of American ninja warrior. With the famous warped wall, floating steps, rope, and much much more.


Beginner Ninja

No experience required.  Beginner ninja is for the kids new to ninja who want to be just like the Ninja Warriors they see on TV. They will get to do the ninja course, work on moves like jumping spider, stink bug, and try to run up our warped wall.


Apprentice Ninja

Instructor Placement Required (call the office 217-787-4386 if you would like an evaluation).  This class is more of a challenge that will have them climbing to new heights. With moves like sloth drop, deadmans walk, and reverse sloth.  See if you can beat the warped wall.


Master Ninja

Instructor Placement Required (call the office 217-787-4386 if you would like an evaluation). Master is for the elite ninja that move up the wall and rope with ease. That fly through the ninja
courses. With new moves like extreme bear crawl, extreme crab walk, and a new ninja

Things To Know

Annual Registraton Fee:  $45/student or $65/family

  • The Annual Registration Fee begins in the fall session.  If a student joins throughout the year, fees are prorated accordingly.  

Class Cost:   50 Minutes  $210/10 Week Session  30 Minutes $136/10 Week Session (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer Session)

                        50 Minutes  $147/7 Week Session    30 Minutes $95/7 Week Session (Holiday Session)

  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration for the entire session.
  • SGC reserves the right to combine or cancel classes based on class enrollment.

Dress Code:  Girls must wear a one-pieced leotard. They may wear stretchy shorts over their leotard. Boys must wear gym shorts and a t-shirt that is tucked in and fits. Hair must be pulled back away from face and tied up. Students must be barefooted.  Shoes are required for Cheer students.

Make Up Class: Due to COVID, we are no longer able to accomodate make-ups.  Please contact SGC if you will be absent.

Waiver Form:  Please make sure to stop by our office if this is your first time to fill out a paper waiver form copy or print one off here to bring with you.
